My first memory of The X-Files was a conversation between my boss and her daughter regarding their plans for the upcoming Sunday nite episode... how they were having sunflower seeds and green jello and woe to anyone that would try to phone them between 8 and 9! Of course, all the lights had to be out too! Yes, I thought they were both crazy! But one Sunday afternoon in December of 1999, I found Fight the Future on tv and thought 'why not!' Little did I know that my life would be forever changed.
The storyline captured my imagination, the chemistry between Mulder and Scully was unbelievable, and Mulder... whoa! How could I not love this show? I didn't know enough about the X-Files and M&S when I started collaging, so it took me 3 years to be able to make one for FTF that I liked. I have lots of favorite episodes from 9 years of the show, but FTF will always hold a special place in my heart. I think it was the best of all! I dedicated this collage to my dearest friend Sappi. *hugs*
By the time I watched the movie, the show was well into it's 7th season. But just because I didn't have 5 seasons of frustration behind me at that time, doesn't mean that famous hallway scene didn't drive me crazy too!
I owe a lot to the X-Files... it opened up an exciting new chapter in my life with many new and dear friends, and brought out an artistic part of my soul that I didn't even know that I had. The show may be over, but I'll never forget it!
